Ira Levy

Ira Levy, 89, of Fort Pierce, Florida passed away March 1, 2012 in Vero Beach, Florida. Mr. Levy was born in Bronx, New York, moving to Fort Pierce in 1978 from Merrick, New York. He was retired from East Meadow and Belmore Long Island, New York Public Schools as a Driver’s Education Teacher and Tennis Coach. Locally he was active in ProAm Tennis Tournaments. Mr. Levy was a veteran of World War II serving with the United States Army in the European Theater of Operations.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Corrine Levy of Fort Pierce; son, Aaron Levy and his wife, Fran and granddaughters, Coral and Savannah of Fort Pierce; and sister, Dorothy Reif of Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Funeral Information

Inurnment will be held Friday, March 9, 2012, 10:30 a.m., at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, Florida.
