Eddie B Bishop

Eddie B. Bishop, 98, of Fort Pierce, Florida, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2009, at a local hospital. Mrs. Bishop was born April 19, 1911, in Colquit County, Georgia, daughter of John Iverson Youngblood and Mary Elizabeth Raines
Youngblood. She has been a Fort Pierce resident since 1945, coming from
Arcadia, Florida.
For over 50 years, Mrs. Bishop has been a member of the First
United Methodist Church of Fort Pierce, where she was active in the Berean
Sunday School Class. Eddie B. was a former member of the Pelican Yacht
Club.
Survivors include her son, H. Lavon Bishop, Jr. and his wife, Wendy K., of
Fort Pierce; grandchildren Mary Laura Atwell and her husband, Ray, of Vero
Beach, and H. L. "Von" Bishop, III of Fort Pierce; and a great-grandchild,
Malaya Rose Atwell.
Mrs. Bishop was preceded in death by her husband, Harry L. Bishop, Sr. in
1997 and a sister, Mattie Ruby Duncan in 1990.
A private funeral service was held in the chapel of the Yates Funeral Home
of Fort Pierce with Rev. Charlie Boggs, officiating. Burial followed at
Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
