Lawrence Joseph Acker

March 27, 1928 - December 24, 2009

Lawrence Joseph Acker, 81, of Port St. Lucie, Florida died December 24, 2009. Born in Akron, Ohio to Mildred and Frank Acker, Mr. Acker was a United States Navy Veteran and a member of St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, St. Lucie West.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Judith Acker and two granddaughters.

Mr. Acker is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joanne Courtney C. Acker; two daughters, Susan Vaughn and Cynthia Acker; son, Michael Acker, all of Atlanta, Georgia and four grandchildren.

Funeral Information

A Visitation will be held Sunday, December 27, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Yates Funeral Home, Port St.Lucie Chapel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, December 28, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, St. Lucie West.

Interment will be Tuesday, December 29, 2009, 10:30 a.m. at South Florida National VA Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida.
