Rose Fontanals

Rose J. Fontanals, 80, of Port St. Lucie, Florida died November 3, 2009 at Emerald Health Care in Port St. Lucie. Born in Puerto Rico to Juan and Julia Rosa Rivera, Rose came to Port St. Lucie in 1989 from Brooklyn, New York. Mrs. Fontanals owned and operated Los Tres Amigos Grocery in Brooklyn, New York and is a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie.

Survivors include 2 sons, Albert Fontanals of Port St. Lucie and George Fontanals of Brooklyn, New York; 2 brothers, Pedro Rivera and Magalo Rivera, both of Puerto Rico; 1 sister, Mera Baromuevo of Puerto Rico; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Fontanals was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Fontanals, Sr. in 1998.

Funeral Information

A Visitation will be held November 5, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 pm, with a Wake service at 6:00 p.m., at the Yates Funeral Home, Port St. Lucie Chapel.

Funeral Service will be held November 6, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Fernhill Memorial Gardens.
