John Henry Russell

John “Capt. Jack” Russell, 75, of Fort Pierce, Florida passed away July 08, 2010 in Fort Pierce. Mr. Russell was retired from the United States Army as Chief Warrant Officer and the United States Coast Guard, serving a total of 37 years. He served as a decorated veteran in Viet Nam, Korea and Thailand. His memberships include the Fort Pierce Yacht Club, U.S. Sailing Assoc., National Boaters Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, S.P.C.A. and the Seaman’s Assoc.

Survivors include his 7 children, Jerri Marlyn Konopka, John Henry Russell Jr., Rhonda Lee Azeka, James William Russell, Timothy Andrew Russell, Cynthia Elizabeth LeTourneau, and Melinda Russell; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Russell is preceded in death by his mother, Jerri Rhinehart; father, Carl Russell and brother, David Russell.

Funeral Information

Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., July 14, 2010 at the Yates Funeral Home, Fort Pierce Chapel.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., July 14, 2010, at the Fort Pierce Yacht Club.

A reception will follow at the Yacht Club until 3:00 p.m.
