Marian A. Gower

Marian A. Gower, 89, of Fort Pierce, Florida, died January 18, 2010 at Sunnyday Assisted Living Facility in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Born in Iran, she had been a resident of Fort Pierce for forty years, coming from Ontario, Canada.

Prior her retirement, she was the Owner/Operator of Florida Casuals, a Women’s Apparel Store in Fort Pierce in the 70’s & 80’s. She was a member of the Indian River Presbyterian Church in Fort Pierce, the Audubon Society, and a Volunteer for the Heathcote Botanical Gardens in Fort Pierce.

She was predeceased by her Husband, Frank Gower; two children, Michael & Cindi Hamilton-Smith, and one grandson, Scott Hamilton-Smith.

Survivors include her daughter, Valerie Cranmer of Ontario, Canada; two sons, Terence Hamilton-Smith of Lexington, Kentucky, & Peter A. Hamilton-Smith of Ontario, Canada; one brother, Harlow Edwin Lichtwardt of Atlanta, Georgia.; her Special Friend, Norman Jacques of Port Saint Lucie; seven grandchildren; & six great-grandchildren.

Funeral Information

A Service to Celebrate her Life will be Saturday, January 23rd, at 3:00 p.m., at Indian River Presbyterian Church, 2499 Virginia Avenue, Fort Pierce.
