Mercedes Oquendo

September 24, 1942 - June 28, 2010

Mercedes Oquendo, 67, of Fort Pierce, Florida, died June 28, 2010 at the The Laurel Pointe Care and Rehabilitation Center in Fort Pierce. He was born in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico. Mr. Oquendo was a construction worker and a member of El Faro Internacional church.

Survivors include his Wife of forty four years, Carmen Ortiz of Fort Pierce; 2 daughters, Carmen V. Oqeundo and Doris Lopez-Oquendo; 3 sons, Jorge L. Oquendo, Edwin Oquendo, & Edgardo Lopez-Oquendo,

Mr.Oquendo was preceded in death by his father, Epifanio Oquendo, and his mother, Victoria Oquendo.

Funeral Information

A family gathering will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., June 30, 2010 at the Yates Funeral Home & Crematory, Fort Pierce Chapel.
