Frank DiCresce Frank DiCresce, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on June 3, 2012 at age 87. A resident of Port St. Lucie, FL, Mr. DiCresce lived for 44 years in the Glens Falls-Lake George region where he was prominent in education and civic affairs.
Mr. DiCresce held bachelors and masters degrees from the State University of New York at Albany and a Professional Diploma of Advanced Graduate Studies from Michigan State University.
A veteran of the Navy, Mr. DiCresce served 4 years in the Pacific Theatre during World War II as a Destroyer Communications Officer.
An avid golfer and tennis player, Mr. DiCresce was a member of the Glens Fall Country Club and continued to play tennis until just three months before his death.
Mr. DiCresce served Glens Falls School District for 25 years, most prominently as Principal of Glens Falls Junior High School.
Mr. DiCresce’s community and civic service rivaled his dedication to education. He had senior leadership positions in the following Glens Falls and regional organizations: Community Workshop, Rotary Club, Youth Council, Mayor’s Family Focus Committee, Drug and Alcohol Program Center Committee, Warren County Association for Mental Health, Warren County Community Services Board, and Albany Regional Mental Health Planning Committee.
Predeceased by his parents and eight siblings, Mr. DiCresce is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ann, of Port St. Lucie, FL; his daughter, Carol Lentz and her husband Barney, of Berwyn, PA; son, Paul DiCresce, of Stony Creek, NY; three grandchildren: Corina Khettry and her husband, Neil,of Wynnewood, PA; Jesse Lentz and his wife, Susan, of Alexandria, VA; Christine Passmore and her husband, Chris, of Kingston, RI; and a great grandson, Sunil “Sunny” Khettry also of Wynnewood, PA.
