Lucy Catchings Balsam

Lucy Catchings Balsam, 85, of Fort Pierce, Florida passed away August 3, 2010 in Vero Beach, Florida. Mrs. Balsam was born in Smyrna, Delaware moving to Fort Pierce in 1977 from Lawrenceville, New Jersey. She was a realtor in Princeton and Lawrenceville New Jersey and in Fort Pierce. She was also employed by the Atomic Energy Commission in New Mexico. Mrs. Balsam was a member of the Ladies of the Elks in Lawrence Township New Jersey and Fort Pierce Lodge 1520, B.P.O.E. She was a member of Lakewood Park United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband Frederick William Balsam Jr. and brothers, Tom Catchings and William B. Catchings Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Page Bradley Balsam of Vero Beach; 2 sons, Frederick William Balsam III and Frederick William Balsam IV both of Fort Pierce, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Information

A visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 7:00pm August 6, 2010 at Yates Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00AM August, 7 at Lakewood Park United Methodist Church with Reverend Lin Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
