Mary P. Pazara

January 26, 1928 - February 23, 2010

Mary Patricia Pazara, 82, of Fort Pierce, Florida, died February 23, 2010 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce. Born in Barrington, Illinois, she had been a resident of Fort Pierce since 1979 coming from Lewistown, Illinois.

She graduated from Illinois University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and was Case Worker with the Illinois Public Aid Department prior her retirement. She was a member of the D.A.R. for more than 50 years and was an active Environmental Volunteer, involved in Sea Turtle Nesting & Rescue. She was an Interpretive Guide for the Savannas State Preserve and received the Conservationist of the Year Award from the Conservation Alliance of Saint Lucie County in 1989 and the International Chevron Award for Environmental Voluntarism in 1992.

She was predeceased by her Husband of thirty years, Peter Pazara who died in 1996.
