Eugenie Lahens

Eugenie Lahens, 90, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, died January 04, 2009 at the Saint Lucie Medical Center in Port Saint Lucie. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, she had been a resident of Port Saint Lucie for 16 years coming from Brooklyn, New York.

She was a Certified Nurse’s Aide employed for more than twenty years at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn until retiring in 1975 and was a member of the Union Local #1199 of Hospital and Health Care Employees. She was also an active member of the Notre Dame Catholic Mission in Fort Pierce, where she sang in the Choir.

She is survived by two sons, Roger A. Dejean of Port Saint Lucie, & Lawrence Lahens of Brooklyn; three sisters, Gisele Brevil of Port Saint Lucie, Paulette Dorlouis and Jerda Lahens, both of Brooklyn; eight grandchildren; & thirteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral Information

A Visitation will be held January 15th from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at the Yates Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Saint Lucie Chapel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated January 16th at 11:00 a.m., with a viewing beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the Notre Dame Mission, 217 North US Hwy. #1, Fort Pierce, FL.

Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery, Jensen Beach, FL.
