Melba Hewitt Osteen

Melba Hewitt Osteen, 94, of Fort Pierce, Florida died February 8, 2010 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Osteen was born in Locke, New York, moving to Fort Pierce in 1944 from New York. She was a retired legal secretary from the office of the Fee law firm of Fort Pierce. Mrs. Osteen was a member of the Pelican Yacht Club.

Survivors include her son, Don Osteen of Silver Spring, Maryland; 2 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and caregiver, Christine Gaban of Fort Pierce.

Mrs. Osteen is preceded in death by her husband, Randall C. “Randy” Osteen, and parents, Leroy Fay Hewitt and Jessie Lucinda Parker Hewitt.

Funeral Information

Burial will be in the Indian Mound Cemetery, Moravia, New York with Yates Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of arrangements.
