Janet A. Barber

Janet Barber, 74, passed away May 9, 2012 at St. Lucie Medical Center in Port St. Lucie, Florida. She was born in Ashland, Kentucky and moved to Fort Pierce, Florida fifty years ago from Kentucky. She worked for many years as a manager at Lakewood Park Elementary School’s cafeteria. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Fort Pierce.

She is survived by daughter, Kelly Barber of Fort Pierce, Florida; brother, Rusty Alley of Ashland, Kentucky; sister, Patti Barber of Fort Pierce, Florida; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She is predeceased by her husband of forty years, George Barber; and a son, William Scott Barber.

Funeral Information

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 13, 2012 from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Dale Ingersoll officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce. Arrangements are with Yates Funeral Home & Crematory, Fort Pierce, Florida.
