Vito D. Furio

June 15, 1931 - April 28, 2010

Vito D. Furio, Jr., 78, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, died April 28, 2010 at his home. Born in Long Island, New York, he had been a resident of Port Saint Lucie, since 1999, coming from Tamarac, Florida.

He was a Dispatcher for the Long Island Railroad for twenty years, prior his retirement. He was a member of the Port Saint Lucie Lanes Men’s Bowling League and was an active contributor to local animal organizations.

He was predeceased by his Wife of 48 years, Dolores C. Furio, who died in 2002.

Survivors include two sons, Daniel V. Furio of West Palm Beach, Florida and Anthony E. Furio of New York City, New York; & one sister, Elaine Alzman of Cornwall, New York.

A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 p.m., May 7, 2010 at the Yates Funeral Home, Port Saint Lucie Chapel, where the Family will receive friends after 4:30 p.m.
