Johanna Martin, 76, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, died August 11, 2012 at her home.

Born in the Bronx, New York, she had been a resident of Port Saint Lucie since 1996, coming from Bronx, New York. She was a parishioner at Holy Family Catholic Church in Port Saint Lucie. Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Joseph F. Martin, Sr. of Port Saint Lucie; three sons, Gregg Velders, of Greenwich, Connecticut, Keith Velders of Ulster, New York, and Mike Colon of Mount Vernon, New York; two daughters, Susan Goodman, and Evelyn Colon, both of Mount Vernon, New York; one stepson, Joseph Martin, Jr., of Rockaway Beach, New York; one stepdaughter, Linda Casey, of Queens, New York; three sisters, Charlotte Garcia, of Edison, New Jersey, Irene Klein, of Phoenix, Arizona, and Regina Butrico, of Brooklyn, New York; twenty-one grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Les and Russell Velders.

Funeral Information

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from 2-4:00pm and 6-8:00pm at Yates Funeral Home, Port Saint Lucie Chapel, where a wake service will be conducted at 7:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 11:00am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Port Saint Lucie. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
