Billie Jay Walker

Billie Jay Walker, 93 of Fort Pierce, Florida, passed away February 1, 2012 in Fort Pierce. Mrs. Walker was born July 15, 1918 in Boaz, Alabama to her parents John Henry Honea and Mary Jane Susan Priscilla Bowman Honea, moving to Fort Pierce in 1956 from Cleveland, Tennessee.
She married Wilbon E. Walker in 1940, he passed away in 1997.
Survivors include daughters, Jeri Lee Batsche, Suzanne W. Hallstrom, and Tamara W. Crouse, all of Fort Pierce; son, Wilbon Ernest “Bill” Walker Jr. of Pikeville, Tennessee; four grandchildren, John Gordon, Jalone Walker, Brenna Hallstrom, Kelly Walker; and two great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Walker is preceded in death by brothers, Millard Honea, Joe Honea, Denson Honea, and Jess Honea; sisters, Taudy Kuykendall and Ada Morefield.

Funeral Information

Friends may call from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, February 5, 2012 at Yates Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. A funeral service will follow at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Reverend James Bennett officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
