Marjorie Perkins

June 24, 1927 - March 28, 2010

Marjorie Bartlett Perkins, 82, of Vero Beach, Florida passed away March 28, 2010 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Perkins was born in Butler, Georgia, moving to Fort Pierce and Vero Beach 55 years ago. She was a former resident of Murphy, North Carolina and Blairsville, Georgia. Mrs. Perkins was a retired buyer and assistant manager of J.C. Penney. Later she taught reading to special education children and adults.

Survivors include three daughters, Leslie P. Fender, Anne P. Suit, and Jill P. Ritten, all of Fort Pierce; one son, Ted Hillman Perkins of Vero Beach; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Perkins was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Hillman Perkins; sisters, Lealyce Beiderwell and Lillian Catalono; and a brother, James Eugene Bartlett, Jr.

Funeral Information

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., April 1, 2010 at the Saint Augustine Episcopal Church.
