Charles Peter Bennett

Charles Peter Bennett, 82, of Kings Isle in Saint Lucie West, died January 28, 2010 at the Broadmoor Assisted Living Facility in Fort Pierce, Florida. Born in New York City, New York, he was a resident of Port Saint Lucie since 1998, coming from Sarasota, Florida.

He was a Manager for the McCrory Corporation in their Jersey City, New Jersey store until retiring in 1989. A Veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Air Force, he was a Parishioner at Saint Lucie Catholic Church, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #7514 in Port Saint Lucie. He was also a former member and Past President of the Freehold Twp, New Jersey, Lions Club and the American Legion Post in Freehold.

He is survived by his Wife of 33 years, Marie Boutote Bennett of Saint Lucie West; two sons, Charles Bennett, Jr. & George V. Bennett, both of Lakeland, Florida; one daughter, Sandra L. Kaiser of Englishtown, New Jersey; five step-sons, Dennis Boutote, Martin Boutote, & Mark Boutote, all of Freehold, New Jersey, Phillip Boutote of San Francisco, California, & Chris Boutote of Lawrenceville, New Jersey; two step-daughters, Donna Storz of Danville, California, & Lynette Bresnahan of Freehold, New Jersey; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; twenty-one step-grandchildren; & nine step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Information

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 11am at the Saint Lucie Catholic Church, 280 SW Prima Vista Blvd,Port Saint Lucie, FL 34983. (772)878-1215
