Helen Ruby, 88 of Sebastian passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012. Helen was born on August 21, 1923 to James and Loretta Hopkins in Brooklyn, New York. Helen and her husband Frank moved from Lake Villa, IL to Port St. Lucie in 1976 and moved to Sebastian in 2004.
Helen worked in customer service for several years and loved being a homemaker. Sewing, decorating and entertaining for family and friends were some of her favorite things. She always made everything special. She will be deeply missed by her family and all that knew her.
Survivors include son, Robert Ruby and his wife, Karen of Fellsmere; daughter Barbara Landt and her husband, William of Fellsmere; daughter in law, Joan Ruby of Topton, PA; 6 grandchildren, Michael Ruby of Rochester, NH, Christopher Ruby of Rochester, NH, Melissa Landt of Fort Pierce, William Landt of Port St. Lucie, Jesse Ruby of Nags Head, NC, Ross Ruby of Port St Lucie; 4 great grandchildren, Meghan, Sarah, and Katie Ruby of Rochester, NH and Kevin Ruby of Port St. Lucie, FL. Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Frank D. Ruby; son Frank D. Ruby III; sisters, Loretta Kelly and Eileen Arena.

Funeral Information

A private service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under direction of Yates Funeral Home in Fort Pierce.
