Henry Koenig

Henry Koenig, 83, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida passed away June 2, 2010 at Treasure Coast Hospice. Henry was born September 4, 1926 in Passaic, New Jersey. He moved to Port Saint Lucie from Toms River, New Jersey in 2004 after retiring from his work as a butcher.

Mr. Koenig was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Coast Guard. Henry was a member of the Shrine Club in Fort Pierce, Mason and DeMolay. He was also a trustee of the Grace Lutheran Church in Port Saint Lucie.

Henry was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Mary, of 17 years; 2 sons Ronald of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, Jeffery of Rutherford, New Hersey; 4 daughters, Kathy Lee of Mullica Hills, New Jersey, Maria Comings of Cumming, Georgia, Lisa Rhoads of Bermuda, and Donna Messineo of Montville, New Jersey; 1 sister, Helen Obermiller of North Carolina; twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral Information

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., June 12, 2010 at the Grace Lutheran Church, 555 SW Cashmere Blvd, Port St Lucie, FL with Pastor Gene Johnson officiating.

Donations Information

Contributions as a memorial may be made to the Grace Lutheran Building Fund.
