James "Jim" Prosser

James “Jim” Prosser, 87 of Port Saint Lucie passed away September 19, 2011 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Fort Pierce, FL. Mr. Prosser was born in Gallitzin, PA a resident of Port Saint Lucie since 1995 coming from Miami, FL. He was retired from his Industrial Cleaning Equipment Company. He was a WWII veteran serving in the Pacific Campaign with the US Navy UDT18 Frogman and was a recipient of the Bronze Starr. Mr. Prosser was a Past President of the National UDT Seal Museum, Fort Pierce. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and the VFW. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Port Saint Lucie, FL
He was preceded in death by his grandson Robert Whitmore.
Survived by his wife of 62 years Margie Prosser of Port Saint Lucie, FL; two daughters Carolyn Whitmore and Linda Albright both of Atlanta, GA; son Joseph Prosser of Hollywood, FL; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sister Jane Forysth of Glen Burnie, MD.
