Melanie Jean Henningsen, 26, of Port St. Lucie, Florida died March 07, 2010 in Fort Pierce. Melanie was born in Long Island, New York and moved to Saint Lucie County in 1989. She was a graduate of Fort Pierce Westwood High School and was employed by JPA Insurance in Port St. Lucie and Palm City. She is survived by her sons, Ryan James Hamm, Jr. and Cameron Luis Ortiz, both of Port St. Lucie; parents, Joyce Hutter and James Hamill of Fort Pierce; sisters, Victoria Hamill of Fort Pierce, Kia Hamill Powers of Fort Pierce, and Jacqueline Hamill Valencia of Port St. Lucie; grandmothers, Imogene Thompson of Fort Pierce, Eileen Hutter of Patchogue, New York and Allardyce Hamill of Fort Pierce; and father, Brian Henningsen of Maine; aunts, Joanne Hutter Bahnken, Marjorie Frazier, Janice Halkias, Marcy Gammaro, Lorraine Hutter, and Beth Frazier; uncle, Edward Hutter; cousins, Denise Halkias, Marjorie Frazier, Jason Frazier, Andrew Bahnken, Michelle Bahnken, Nicole Carro, Ryan Hutter, Christine Hutter, Kaitlyn Hutter, Amy Gebhard, Greg Gebhard, TJ Gebhard, Christopher Chapdelaine, Caroline Chapdelaine, and a large extended family in New York. Melanie was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Albert E. Hutter and Kenneth Henningsen; uncles, Pete Barbeau and Randy Hamill. Funeral InformationA visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on March 12 , 2010 at the Yates Funeral Home, Fort Pierce Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on March 13, 2010 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church will burial to follow at Riverview Memorial Park.
