Andrew J. “Andy” Collins

Andrew J. “Andy” Collins, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida passed away on Sunday November 20, 2011. Born and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Andy lived for over 35 years in Garwood, New Jersey, where he and his beloved wife, Laurie raised their two children before retiring to Port Saint Lucie, Florida.
Andy served with the U.S. Army and then worked as a self-employed painter and wall paper hanger. Andy was an avid golfer and NY Giants fan. When he resided in Garwood, Andy was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council #5437 where for many years he enjoyed cooking for the Knights’ annual St. Patrick’s Day dinner.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Laurie Collins, a daughter and son-in-law, Christine Collins Schrum and David Schrum of Bridgewater, NJ, and a daughter Danielle Collins of Charlottesville, Va. Mr. Collins was also the proud grandfather of Sophia and Colin Schrum of Bridgewater, N.J.

Funeral Information

A Memorial Service will be held in the Spring.
