Marshall D. Grant, Jr.

Marshall D. Grant, Jr., 83, of Indian River Estates in Fort Pierce, Florida, died June 7, 2010 at Emerald Health Care in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he had been a Fort Pierce resident for twenty-one years coming from Plantation, Florida.

He was a Veteran serving with the United States Navy in the Philippines. Prior to his retirement in 1970, he was an Aircraft Electrician at Quonset Point Naval Air Station in Rhode Island. Most recently, he taught a Writing Class at the Morningside Library in Port Saint Lucie for ten years.

Mr. Grant was predeceased by two brothers, Lawrence R. Grant & Donald W. Grant.

He is survived by his Wife of 53 years, Beverly E. Grant of Fort Pierce; one son, Albert D. Grenier of Los Angeles, California; one daughter, Bonnie L. Edwards of New Bern, North Carolina; one brother, Leland B. Grant of Hilton Head, South Carolina; & three grandchildren.

Funeral Information

A Viewing will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., June 9, 2010 at the Yates Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Saint Lucie Chapel.

Interment with Military Honors will be at 2:00 p.m., June 10, 2010 at the South Florida VA National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL.
