Mrs. Jennie Louise (Summerlin) Parker, 98, of Fort Pierce, Florida, passed away Friday, January 22, 2010 at Doctors Lake Healthcare in Orange Park, Florida.
Mrs. Parker was born in Fort Myers, Florida on September 14, 1911, the daughter of the late Ruby and Mae Summerlin. The Family subsequently relocated to Fort Pierce, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Kent, Leland, John and Joseph Summerlin.

She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Isaac Edward Parker of Fort Pierce, Florida; her daughter, Ruby Little (Charlie); son, Joseph Parker (Karen); granddaughter, Mary Christine Parker of Port St. Lucie; two grandsons, Charles Edward Little (Angie) of Fleming Island, Florida, Edward Lee Parker (Jenifer) of Fort Edwards, New York, and eight great-grandchildren.

She was a member of “The Summerlin Family” of the Greater Fort Pierce area. She enjoyed reading, cross word puzzles, knitting cast nets, tv soap operas, baby sitting for various family members and friends, and her daily Bible readings.

Funeral Information

The Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 6th at the Yates Funeral Home, Fort Pierce Chapel. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. James Bennett officiating. Following the funeral service a “get together” will follow at the “Old Saint Lucie School House” on North Old Dixie Highway.
