Rosemary Dowd, 88, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida passed away April 14, 2012 at Harbor Place in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Mrs. Dowd was born in Asheville, North Carolina and was a lifetime resident of Miami, Florida moving to Port Saint Lucie in 2003.

Survivors include sons, Robert M. and wife Suzanne Dowd of Jensen Beach, Florida, and James W. and wife Jean Dowd of Fairborn, Ohio; grandchildren, Robert G. Dowd, James D. Dowd, Thomas R. Dowd, and Kristen M. Dowd; great-grandchildren, Katherine Rose Dowd, Ava Elizabeth Dowd and Claire Summer Dowd.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Robert H. Dowd; brothers, Casper Hefty, Alvah Lee Hefty and sister, Katherine Myler.

Funeral Information

Interment services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia at a later date.
