Marie L. Coughlin

Marie L. Coughlin, 85, died on September 7, 2010 at the Palm Gardens Nursing home in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Although she spent her last days in a nursing home, she was visited daily by family and friends and remembered with cards and flowers by many.
Mrs. Coughlin was born May 12, 1925 in Rahway, NJ to John and Minnie Sullivan. Her family was most important to her. She was a homemaker and devoted most of her time to her husband, mother, and four daughters. Marie was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Rahway along with her mother and daughters.
Upon retirement, Marie moved to Port Saint Lucie with her loving husband, Jerry. There she pursued her interest in art and gifted both family and friends with her beautiful paintings. She was also a devoted and active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Port Saint Lucie and participated in many charitable events. Marie loved good food and socializing, going to movies and plays with friends, and had a wonderful smile.
Mrs. Coughlin was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jeremiah Coughlin, her mother, Wilhelmina Ackerman, her sister, Doris Ayers, and her brother, Donald Sullivan. She is survived by four daughters, Linda Medeiros, JoAnn Malone, Kathy Gyantar, and Dayle Golden, and sons-in-law John Medeiros, Bela Gyantar, and Brian Golden, as well as six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and thirteen nieces and nephews.
