James D. Prentice

January 15, 1961 - February 09, 2010

James D. Prentice, 49, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, died suddenly February 9, 2010 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, Fort Pierce from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident that day. Born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, he had been a resident of Port Saint Lucie for 29 years, coming from West Springfield, Massachusetts.

He was employed by Vought Aircraft Industries, Inc. in Stuart, Florida for 28 years at the time of his death and was an avid motorcycle enthusiast.

He was predeceased by his Father, Donald E. Prentice.

Survivors include his Wife of 27 years, Barbara J. Prentice of Port Saint Lucie; two sons, James D. Prentice, Jr. of Vero Beach, Florida, & Kevin M. Prentice of Port Saint Lucie; one daughter, Dawn E. Johnson-Phillips of Clinton, Michigan; his Mother, Alice Duval of Belchertown, Massachusetts; two sisters, Gail A. Chevalier and Kim Duval, both of Belchertown, Massachusetts; & two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Nathan.

Funeral Information

A Visitation will be held February 14, 2009 from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m., at the Yates Funeral Home and Crematory, Port Saint Lucie Chapel. Interment will be private at the convenience of the Family.
