Donald Joseph Porter 92 of Jensen Beach, FL passed away October 19, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Porter was born in Syracuse NY and came to the Treasure Coast from Syracuse, NY in 1967.
He was a veteran of World War II, retired US Air Force. Donald was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, a member of the Treasure Coast Writers Guild. He was a former, Treasurer of the Port Saint Lucie Library.
Survivors include his wife of 19 years Elizabeth Y. Porter of Jensen Beach FL, sons, David H Porter of Pennington, NJ, and James D. Porter of Port Saint Lucie, FL, daughters, Marilyn M. Porter of Corvallis, OR, and Elizabeth Petrillo of Port Saint Lucie, FL three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his first wife of 42 years, Elizabeth Nicholson Porter.

Funeral Information

Visitation will be October 22nd from 4 to 7 PM at Yates Funeral Home Port Saint Lucie Chapel. Memorial Service will be 2:00PM October 24, 2011 at Hope Lutheran Church of Port Saint Lucie with Pastor Jared Olson officiating. Inurnment will be private.
