Betty Thompson, 79, of Fort Pierce, Florida died June 30, 2010 at St. Lucie Medical Center in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Born August 24, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York, Betty moved to Fort Pierce in 1968 from her birth place. Mrs. Thompson worked for the St. Lucie County School Board, she was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church and involved in the Church Choir.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Herschell; 3 sons, Mark Adams of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Paul Adams of Orlando, Florida & Philip Adams of Fort Pierce; 3 daughters, Jessica Snell of Madisonville, Tennessee, Donna Thornburgh of Mount Dora, Florida, & Gail Bass of Atlanta, Georgia; 6 grandchildren & 1 great-grandson.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., July 03, 2010 at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church with Father John S. Liebler, Rector officiating.
