William G. "The Moom" Moomey

William G. “The Moom” Moomey, 65, of Fort Pierce, Florida, died May 29, 2010 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach, Florida. Born in Muscatine, Iowa, he had been a resident of Fort Pierce for ten years, coming from his birthplace.

Prior to his retirement, he was the Manager of Purchasing for Pressure Pro in Fort Pierce.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #40, the AMVETS Post #15, the Elks Lodge #1520, & the Moose Lodge #248, all in Fort Pierce.

He was predeceased by his Father, William F. Moomey and a brother, Meredith Moomey.

Survivors include his Mother, Phyllis V. Moomey of Fort Pierce; four daughters, Heather Portz & Erin Baker, both of Davenport, Iowa, & Colleen Moomey & Candice Fuegen, both of Muscatine, Iowa; three sons, Scott Francis Moomey, Greg Moomey, & William J. Moomey, all of Muscatine, Iowa; five sisters, Kathleen L. Jones, Denice M. Selph, Paula S. Brown, Lisa J. Huff, & Angi L. Trefelner, all of Fort Pierce; & twelve grandchildren.

Funeral Information

A Viewing will be held June 2, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the Yates Funeral Home & Crematory, Fort Pierce Chapel, followed by a Service to Celebrate his Life at 8:00 p.m.

Interment will be held privately by the family.
