Cremation...A Personal Choice

With more families choosing cremation than ever before, Yates Funeral Home supports your personal choice by offering many of the same service selections typically available with burial or entombment. With cremation one may choose from a range of services including public visitation, private viewing for family members, church service or no service at all.

Disposition of Cremated Remains

Even after you make the decision of cremation, there is still an important choice for you to make. You will still need to decide the eventual disposition of the cremated remains. Most families wish to honor their loved one in some final way. Here are choices to consider:

Cherry Wood Urn
  • Keep the cremated remains in an urn at home or other special place.

  • Bury them in a family plot or a cemetery cremation garden.

  • Place in a niche at a cemetery.

  • Scatter on land or sea.

  • Divide into keepsake urns for all family to have.
